Kate West's La Befana and the Star is a beautiful Christmas story that gave me goose bumps! It engages the miracles, love and magic of Christmas with a fun and humorous twist that reminds us that with a little help from the angels, anything is possible. Our Christmas experience is so much richer now that La Befana and her adorable friends are part of our family's Christmas tradition! We are all looking forward to the rest of the books in this beautiful Christmas series.
My son, 6 years old, loves the story, now we gather with friends before Christmas and bake cookies with them, the recipe included is pretty good, we tell the children's La Befana story and get to work. My son likes the way it is written and the fact that it talks about spreading love.
The story was what I expected. It had a good story to share with my 3rd grade class. We were focusing on Christmas around the world. But, there were Some grammatical errors.
This is a wonderful adventure for children and a story about the magic of love for everybody. (The grammar point made in an earlier review is corrected. Technology, too, has its magic!) This book is well worth having, whether digitally or in print--or both.
It was a wonderful illustrated book and lovely story! Just what I needed for my students for their holiday project.
